Overview

SokoSQ is an AI-powered e-commerce platform for African SMEs. Merchants launch their own storefront, manage their product catalogue and inventory, and get AI-generated product descriptions and business insights, all from one dashboard.

The challenge

Many merchants share one multi-tenant platform, each with their own storefront and dashboard. The core merchant flows had to stay fast and accessible, and AI had to take routine work like writing product descriptions off merchants' hands.

What I built

• Built merchant storefronts and dashboards in Next.js, React, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS.
• Built multi-tenant APIs in Node.js and Express.
• Integrated the OpenAI API so merchants generate product descriptions automatically.
• Improved performance and accessibility across core merchant flows.
